Appearances

The Apostle Paul tells us that all scripture is given to us for our edification; the book of Daniel in the Old Testament, gives us a glimpse into what has been, what is now, and what is to come.

Daniel was a Jewish lad who was only a teenager when he was taken prisoner and carried off to Babylon by king Nebuchadnezzar. (Certainly a cruel and formidable ruler, by anyone’s standards.) This king wanted the best that Israel had to offer, the most intelligent…in order to raise them up to be Babylon’s finest.

Now, in reading Daniel’s words most carefully; it is revealed that this ambitious  earthly king was God’s appointed servant. (Jeremiah confirms this.) Israel had been told that if they did not change their ways, if they did not stop worshiping idols…(just one of their fails, along with the big one of unbelief) that they, as a Nation, would be severely punished. Their land made barren.

And so they were, and it…was. The Lord does nothing without first informing the involved persons of His intention.

In any case, despite Daniel’s young age, he was true to His God. Having a death sentence over his head because of a dream which Nebuchadnezzar’s wise men were unable to translate or explain…, he prayed to The Lord about it, and then fearlessly interpreted the dream for Babylon’s ruler.

(In the verses of this book, it seems that a mutual respect develops between Nebuchadnezzar and Daniel. It is even rumored, via tradition, that it was Daniel who took care of the despot when he spent seven years eating grass like an oxen…in punishment for his sin of pride. Somehow, if this tradition is true, it is comforting, because it speaks of two such disparate personalities, both doing what was asked of them while performing the duties that The Lord had assigned them. Daniel’s attitude and perspective remained focused on God, despite being a captive; a stranger in a strange land.)
Daniel never cursed his situation, nor is it written that he moaned about his circumstances. He stood firm, without fear, all the while trusting in God to protect him. And lead him. And guide his words. He spoke to the king with utmost respect while daring to tell him words that could possibly have meant his immediate death when the last word was uttered.

The king listened, taking the interpretation to heart.

Then we come to the fourth chapter of this book within The Book. It is a proclamation sent out to the entire world of that day…penned by Nebuchadnezzar himself, in which he personally tells of his humiliation before the “King of Heaven” whose word is truth and who is able to abase those who walk in pride. (And in whom he now believes.)

Seems that the king, despite being forewarned, praised himself about all his achievements…givng no praise to The Lord above. However, that cruel by-the-world’s standards ruler came to understand, after it was explained again, in God’s manner….that he was only in his position because it was pre-ordained by The Lord.

Babylon’s king then wrote that chapter in the Bible.

(Do you think we will meet him in some future day? All scripture is God inspired and The Word within breathed by the Holy Ghost, through the pens of each scribe. Nebuchadnezzar was a servant of God…and after the end of his grass eating days, returned to greater power than he had before his humbling by The Lord. He …was the scribe of Daniel: verse 4.)
Do you have a Nebuchadnezzar in your life? This writer has several. Do you pray for the forgiveness of that person who is acting out against you? Have you forgiven him or her? (Often a daily duty.) Is it a family member? A neighbor? Your boss? (Just think about who Daniel’s earthly “boss” was, and how he dealt with it.)
And while doing that, think about this story if Daniel had acted out against his captor: had felt sorry for himself when taken from his own land; had retreated into a world of recrimination and blame casting, or had turned his back on God because his world was turned upside down…certainly not going the way a noble son of Israel would have planned.
The Apostle Paul tells us to pray for our enemies. To forgive those who abase us. To love them. Which can only happen when we tap into our abundant supply of Spirit provided agape love. No emotion involved. Observing our “set apartness” which allows us to compassionately deal with those who are sent into our lives.

How do we know if that “little Nebuchadnezzar ” in our lives is not a saved individual and so, anointed/appointed of God.

We don’t.

Actions speak louder than words, it is true…but we do not know what each persons heart holds. Nor can our eyes see past that dark mirror which shows us a partial story…our ears hear only the surface noise and words…so, we must trust in The Lord and follow his instruction whether we understand or not.

Pray for your enemies; if they are not of The Lord it is as if heaping coals are thrown on them. (Although this thought might not be the best one to be mindful of, when we are speaking with The Lord and asking him to have mercy upon our worldly enemies…it bespeaks of duplicity. If they are HIS, then they too, are a part of the Body of Christ which means we are joined to them as solidly as we are joined to Jesus Christ, who is our Head. And so, a joint blessing is received.)
Best to treat all those in our personal circles as fellows in Christ.
We have good examples set before us in HIS manual…HE gives us “case studies” for our study… HE commands us to respect no person above another.

So, despite how we perceive our foes, or accept our friends, everyone should be on equal footing, as far as how we treat them or pray for them or interact with them each day,

Who knows? When the Harphazo occurs, some of them might be right next to us on the big “fly-up.”
Who would have thought that king Nebuchadnezzar would be selected by The Lord to pen a chapter in HIS Book of the Living Word?

May The Holy Spirit lead, guide and comfort us all as He increases our learning; The Lord smile upon us as we grow in Him, and His mercy and peace fill our hearts.

Consider Paul

Where are you today, as you “walk the walk” and “talk the talk” and act accordingly…living the life of one who has given themselves to The Lord?

Where are your thoughts while you take heed to the Holy Ghost…following His guidance….playing out the role decided for you by The Lord….which was determined before the world was even created?

Do you feel physically alone as you study the scriptures….doing the bidding of God as you observe your friends, family, “church” affiliates dropping like flies in their haste to get away from you? (Often with hateful words accompanying their departure from your life…)

Are you living in an area where there is not one Christian with whom you can meet face to face…maybe understanding how Elijah felt when sitting in his cave, fearing that he was the only one left on earth who trusted in God? **1Kings 19**

Consider our Apostle, Paul. Think about his life after the fateful moment on the road to Damascus, when he ….saw The Light. Up close and personal.

He was known as Saul, and was a masterful, zealous, driven prosecutor of the Christians, as well as a hater of Christ Jesus. He was well supported by the Sanhedrin, well funded in his activities, well thought of for his mental capabilities because his education was received at the feet of the best Rabbi known at that time…he was honored for his dedication to his goal of wiping out the Christians and caused many to perish in that he testified against them. He held the coats of those who stoned Phillip to death. He was a man who was moving ahead in the world of Jewish Orthodoxy…a mover and a shaker. A driven man.

Then, he met the living Savior whom he had been persecuting with such a passion. Who asked him point blank just “why” was he doing this? Saul responded by finally recognizing Him and calling him “my Lord”….his life as he knew it was gone. His name as he knew it was gone.

He was now Paul. His powerful friends as he knew them…were gone, and were now his avowed enemies, once he began preaching the gospel to anyone who would listen.

They tried to kill him. They no longer trusted him. The Christian flock did not trust him….after all, he had been their sworn enemy. The Christian leaders did not know him, for he did not go to them in order to learn about his new Master. He instead, went off into the desert wilderness for three years where he was personally taught by The Lord Himself. Not only learning…but “un-learning” what he thought he knew about the bible. (Am wondering if his tale of visiting the third heaven **2 Corinthians 12** doesn’t describe that time, or part of that three year period….when he absorbed the truth…studying The Word….with The Word, who is Jesus Christ.)  **John 1:1**

Paul was set apart. He was anointed. He had been selected for his “job” before the foundation of the earth. He received the gospel message after he left Judaism. Of all the Apostles, his title was given him AFTER Jesus’ death and resurrection. Where there were 12 original Apostles reaching out to the Jews…working together and comparing notes, so to speak….Paul was alone as he reached out to the heathen. To us. To those who were far away from God, and to whom God was reaching out through Paul. (We did not find Him…He found us.)

Consider his afflictions. Having to watch over his shoulder in order to avoid the latest attempt on his life. (Often orchestrated by his fellow Jews, who followed him everywhere in order to stir up the people and have them turn on him.)
“Are they Israelites? so am I. Are they the seed of Abraham? so am I. Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool) I am more; in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths oft. Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one. Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep; in journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; in weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness. Besides those things that are without, that which cometh upon me daily, the care of all the churches. Who is weak, and I am not weak? who is offended, and I burn not?” **2 Corinthians 11**

He was stoned and carried out of the city, considered dead. He was flayed and beaten often. He was without food; without water, without rest. He was in “the deep” for a night and a day. His “flesh had no rest” being troubled on all sides …”without were fightings, within were fears.” **2 Corinthians 7:5**

This man Paul was alone when he was appointed as our Apostle. Our guide in this age. The man who wrote a Spirit -breathed manual for us in his Epistles…often in prison, shackled to a guard….yet never giving up no matter how isolated and separated from any other believer he was. (How many of those guards also become part of the Church as they spent their days, chained to the Apostle…hearing his every word. Four different men each day…)

He teaches us that The Lord is always with us. To never let our hope slip away. To study and be wise with God’s wisdom as we learn and grow and fit into the place in which we are destined to function along with every single other member of the August Body…whose Head is the Living Son of God; our Saviour…Christ Jesus.

Just as was Paul….we too, are neither here nor there. Strangers in a strange land; already positioned spiritually in our home above. Bound to earth by our mortal bodies. Supernaturally surviving in an alien and often hostile place.

Consider Paul. His circumstances, endured with thanksgiving and joy as he so zealously carried out God’s plan for his life. We are commanded to follow Paul’s example, even as he himself followed Christ. It is not merely a suggestion, for we will be judged at the Bema seat by how well we followed our command. How well we read our manual, as set down in Paul’s inspired Epistles. God’s words by way of the Holy Spirit, through Paul’s pen.

Know that you…that we….are never alone. Every face surrounding us may be against us, but The Lord is with us. Of whom should we be afraid? We must exhort each other. Provide support for each other. Our fellows in Christ might never be seen by us until the day we are called up. They may be miles away from us. Reached by email and prayers and invisible to us, yet  joined together because we have the same calling. From the same Father.

Keep the faith. Keep the inner joy and love for one another. Keep studying and growing as you become more like our Savior every day. Never alone…already a part of the real church. “The Church, the Body of Christ.” The one that isn’t visible. The one mandated before the world was created. The one that you and I were singled out to be part of in HIM. (Through no merit of our own.)

Stand firm. Rest in His strength and the hope of His soon arrival for us in the clouds. Our armor is defensive armor. To protect us as we battle the spiritual fight…standing in place. Holding fast. No retreating. The Word….is our strength and our singular offense when the adversary strikes. Our…weapon of choice. Sharpened by the Holy Spirit. Honed by The Lord Himself, who is waiting for the “all clear” from His Father…the moment when He steps into the clouds and claims His own.

Us.

(When the hope of our salvation is realized…I wonder if we will hear our names called out, or if we will hear just…”Come up here!”)

Either way, am waiting, eager and ready for the big fly-up. Hope that you are too; I think we will know each other, just as we will know Him…for we will see Him as He is.

Maranatha…

“Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evildoer, even unto bonds; but the Word of God is not bound. Therefore I endure all things for the elect’s sake ; that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.” **2 Timothy 9, 10**

Respect

In Romans13:1, we are commanded to be “subject unto the higher powers, for there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained by God.”

Every single leader of every single Nation today….is a leader because he or she is placed there by The LORD. He…appointed, appoints and will appoint… ALL those who are in authority.

Scripture shows us not only what has happened in the past: it (or rather He) highlights current events; and then tells us what is going to happen in the future. Often within the same verse, as revealed by the Holy Spirit within us.

Why then are we surprised when we see how National borders are being ignored…how the Creation is erupting all around us…how…the “good old days” are gone forever? We see the carnage, the abuse, the afflicted surrounding us, the sad state of affairs in knowing that our children…our grandchildren…will never experience the freedoms we had…NOT all that long ago.

Then we read the articles which expound on the events of the day…those same articles often using strong language which is directed against our heads of State. Now, if we are told to pray for our leaders…how can we, with the same breath…curse them for their actions?

Rom 13:3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: 4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. 5 Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake. 6 For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God’s ministers, attending continually upon this very thing. 7 Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.

Our dues MUST be paid, without resistance to God’s command.

In the book of Jude, it says…when speaking of false teachers…

Jud 1:8 Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities. 9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.

If the Archangel Michael did not make accusations against Satan, but instead called upon the Lord to “rebuke” him….if Jesus Christ Himself did not rail against Satan, but instead referred back to the scriptures when being offered the world (in Matthew 4…HE says “it is written” as He uses scripture in response to His temptation)….if the Apostle Paul apologized when he unknowingly lashed out against the “high Priest”….

Act 23:3 Then said Paul unto him, God shall smite thee, thou whited wall: for sittest thou to judge me after the law, and commandest me to be smitten contrary to the law? 4 And they that stood by said, Revilest thou God’s high priest? 5 Then said Paul, I wist not, brethren, that he was the high priest: for it is written, Thou shalt not speak evil of the ruler of thy people.

Who then are we then…to use our words against those who have been appointed by God to fulfill His will? We have excellent examples placed in front of us for our edification and learning…in the OT and in the NT…where men, and even the man-God Jesus… were being attacked personally by “dignitaries” ….and refused to use their tongues to retaliate, instead relying on the Word to take care of the business at hand.

Jas 3:8 But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. 9 Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God. 10 Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.
God says that vengeance is His. Words can kill. (Look at how His Word is…. a Sword…in the big battle to come!)

Can you imagine what lies ahead….for those who choose to “speak evil of the ruler of thy people?”

Please….pray for our leaders. We are commanded to do so. Our Christian maturity is displayed…in how we carry out His will in this Age of Grace.

What we do..the word we choose….is a reflection upon OUR appointment here… our ambassadorship…our assignment from above. That assignment, which signifies just how we are to magnify HIM in all our actions. Even in the private moments of prayer.

Maranatha….

Instructions

From who do we receive our knowledge about how The Lord wishes to be reached in this Age of Grace? Do we care? Are we concerned?

In the Old Testament, there were extremely strict laws about how one was to worship in the Temple. Those laws were disclosed to the prophets; the leaders of the Jews, to Moses….with those who chose to disobey the rules immediately being put to death by God Himself.

Today, our bodies are the Temple of God. The old Temple has been destroyed, as it was prophesied.

And ..there is a way that He wants us to approach Him, just as He had guidelines for those in the past.

The rules are not set out in the same manner…but through a chosen minister set apart for us today.

An example given us so that we do not err as we follow His path… while our bodies are here on earth. The example is… of Paul’s life, while he followed Christ.

(The religion I followed, until “seeing the light”…taught me to “try” and walk as Jesus did.
I cannot walk as Jesus did…no matter how hard I work at it, for Jesus was an Orthodox Jewish Man-God while here on earth. He was sent to Israel. He followed the Law, as His Father told Him to do. Yet my religion overlooked this important fact, and I blindly tried to follow the instruction…which leads to deep sorrow, failure, guilt, constantly seeking forgiveness….all the things that Christ Jesus died on the cross for….as He gives this gift of grace to us Gentiles….only AFTER Israel spurned Him…rejected Him….crucified Him….not recognizing their Savior at His manifestation. We have salvation…the moment we believe. Belief plus nothing. We have been given everything we need. God lives within us! How many others have been in, are in… this same predicament each and every day? Not recognizing these basic truths?)

Matthew, Mark, Luke and John relate His story while He was on earth. While He was reaching out to His chosen people, Israel. While He was offering them the kingdom, if only they would know who He was.

They do not teach us about The Secret…The Mystery…that Gentiles would be brought into the Royal Family. They did not know about it. (This plan was kept secret by God through the ages….and finally revealed in ONE Apostle. Paul. Who describes himself as the biggest sinner who ever lived.)

We cannot follow their instruction. Gentiles…are not…Orthodox Jews.

And so we see Paul.

One man.
(Israel benefited from having not only Christ Jesus in person, but also the 12 Apostles.)

After Jesus’ death and resurrection…God anointed one man to go to the Gentiles. To ALL men, and preach the Good News of His Gospel. (Never forget that the original 12 were forbidden to go to anyone BUT Israel.)

The Apostle Paul.

In Acts 22:14-15, Paul is chosen by God to “know His will.” He was chosen to “see the Just One.” (Thus satisfying the decree that an Apostle MUST have actually seen Jesus Christ.

Paul…is chosen “to hear the voice of His mouth.” (Imagination fails, when contemplating the three years that Paul spent in the desert…unlearning all he knew of Jewish tradition and religion…learning the precepts of The One that he previously denied!

He learned the Gospel from the very Mouth of God.

And then…he was appointed “to be a witness unto ALL men of what you have seen and heard.”

His former religious zeal…was transformed into a passion for Christ Jesus, about whom he immediately stepped out and preached. (Through “the simplicity that is in Christ.”)

Paul was told then to “depart for I will send thee far hence into the Gentiles.”

How very plain. Yet, how complicated man makes this gospel.

(This writer never, never discussed religion. Perhaps minimally, the scriptures.
Yet, after a series of complex surgeries…I awoke in recovery and could only say to every person who entered my space..”did you know that the Apostle Paul is our apostle in this Age of Grace?”
Can you imagine the looks I received? The reactions noted? I could not stop saying these words. Some docs, some nurses agreed and said so. Several nurses took their breaks sitting with me, their bibles in their hands. They carried their bibles to work with them! Who would have known!

Others …ran for the hills. A person came in from the chapel services, and told me that “it is only your opinion” about Paul. This, in self righteous tones…advising me to enroll in a bible study course at the University so that I could learn the truth.
Good advice for one in very poor condition, lying in a hospital bed…trying to recover from major surgery…and who asked for a chaplain. I pray that she will have a change of heart…)

But from that day onward, this aging woman is directed to continue saying those words. Only the Holy Spirit could cause this action, for it comes from..my very core.

We are not bound by those strict laws of the past. Our inner love for our neighbor…has supplanted external fences and boundaries, for we are bound by love. Charity. This love covers the Law. So says Jesus.

Read the Epistles… asking for your/our in-dwelling Holy Spirit’s wisdom and lead. (We are in this together.)

Prepare to “delete” many past understandings from your memory bank.

Let the Apostle Paul show you how to walk…how to follow, even as he “follows Christ Jesus.”

We are commanded to do so.

And will be judged at the Bema Seat…not for our sins, for they have been/are/will be forgiven…but for our acts on earth.

Were they carried out for God’s glory? Or…for our own prestige and rewards on earth?

Prepare yourself. There will be some who receive rewards, and others who watch their mis-directed deeds disappear, in the flames of judgement. When the truth of our actions is exposed for what it was.

We all fall short of His Glory. But there is still time to follow the example that God gives us, through Paul.

Use that time wisely.

Vipers in the Woodpile

image “And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand.” Acts 28:3 Just as we go through our daily lives….stoking the fires that keep us warm, tending to daily tasks, fueling the strength needed in order to meet the demands of each day….out comes the viper to strike us when we are the most vulnerable. Reaching out, unthinkingly, to perform an act that provides comfort for us and for those in our care…we get bitten.

What has “bitten” you, fellow in Christ? Is it Cancer? Or perhaps an even more debilitating illness? (Yes, there are diagnoses that are more catastrophic than Cancer. But they are not as well known, and so, not in public awareness.)

Have you been struck with the loss of a job? The loss of a loved one? (The loss of a loved one does not have to be through death…many of us have watched our families leave us because of our belief in the Living God.)

The list goes on and on, for the viper takes many forms. It afflicts us. It assails us. It attacks our already decaying physical bodies. It sinks it’s teeth into our thinking, and injects the poison which produces evil thoughts…when our guard is down. (Are you “addicted?” No…you are…”afflicted!”)

2 Corinthians 4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. 4:8 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; 4:9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; 4:10 Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

Only by leaning fully upon the strong arm of our Lord can we manifest the strength to “shake it off” just like Paul did…(as an aside…this is yet another euphemism that comes from the scriptures!) … as we read about this telling example written down for us.

By remaining steadfast (in Paul’s case; continuing to tend to the fire, in the midst of the rain, the cold, being a prisoner, enduring a ship-wreck, being surrounded by “barbarians” ) as he resolutely feeds the fire despite the “discomfort” of being….”snake-bit” he shows us that we too, can serve as a witness to those who surround us.

Act 28:4 And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he hath escaped the sea, yet vengeance suffereth not to live. 28:5 And he shook off the beast into the fire, and felt no harm.

He went on to heal many who were ill on that Island of Malta as he spread the good news of The Gospel…fulfilling God’s purpose for him in those less-than-ideal circumstances.

There is never….a perfect scenario for carrying out the plan which is in place for those of us who have elected to move closer to our Lord and Savior. As our bodies become more debilitated, so do our spirits grow stronger in Him. They are in the process of becoming “like Him” as we walk….The Walk.

The world sees our illnesses as “punishment” but we who are in Christ know…that the obvious visible physical decay is but the sign that our Potter is busy with molding a stronger, invisible part of us which will endure forever…when we see our heritage come to fruition in living eternally with The Living God. His purpose is being carried out while our bodies diminish…our example, like that of Paul…providing the unbelieving world with a glimpse of the Very God Who lives within us.

Never give up.

Yield..only to Him.

Keep your focus on Christ Jesus. Let His arms carry you. He is carrying all of us with awesome power that will result in… His glory! And that, dear friend…is what we were originally made for, way back in the Garden of Eden.

Maranatha….

Deborah and Jael; Assignments Accomplished

***Article up-dated in order to reference scripture verses; originally posted 08/10/2014***

While reading through the book of Judges in the Old Testament, a rather unusual story can be found in the story of Deborah, and her ensuing song. (Judges 4 and 5)

The Lord elected a woman named Deborah to be the Judge of Israel. She was also a prophetess. In her song, during which she sings praises to the God of Israel…she describes herself first as a mother. This, to her, was her most important role.

***Jdg 5:7    The inhabitants of the villages ceased, they ceased in Israel, until that I Deborah arose, that I arose a mother in Israel.

***Jdg 5:12    Awake, awake, Deborah: awake, awake, utter a song: arise, Barak, and lead thy captivity captive, thou son of Abinoam. (Where else do we read this phrase about leading “captivity captive?”)

She goes on, in her song, to speak about the ultimate victory over the Canaanite army and over their commander, Sisera, while she praises God. (When she prophesied to Barak, who The Lord called out to lead Israel’s forces against the mighty Caananites…he told her that he WOULD lead the Jewish offensive, but only if Deborah would accompany him. He would not go alone.)

Deborah willingly accompanying Barak after telling him that the victory would be his, per her prophecy…but he also should know that the person to whom the glory would go for that victory would not be him. It would go to…a woman.

(In those days women were considered chattel. Less than second class citizens. And here we have a woman, Deborah, leading all of Israel..her position being set by God, as all our leaders are chosen.)

***Jdg 4:8    And Barak said unto her, If thou wilt go with me, then I will go: but if thou wilt not go with me, then I will not go.

As a result of his action, in asking Deborah to accompany him, or he would not follow God’s command….both understood that a second woman; also chosen by God, would ultimately bring down the great military leader (Sisera) who had been plaguing the Israelites for 20 years; and that this second woman would be on the receiving end of the accolades due a hero. Or rather…a heroine. Barak would win no acclaim for the victory, a victory which was guaranteed by The Lord Himself!)

***Jdg 4:9    And she said, I will surely go with thee: notwithstanding the journey that thou takest shall not be for thine honour; for the LORD shall sell Sisera into the hand of a woman. And Deborah arose, and went with Barak to Kedesh.

As the tale unfolds, we learn further that there is a member of the Kenite tribe (a desert tribe, of which Moses’ father-in-law was a member) who has set his tent up in an area apart from the rest of his people. This man is serving as a lookout for the Canaanites, and is keeping Sisera aware of the whereabouts of Barak and his men. His name is Heber.

***Jdg 4:11    Now Heber the Kenite, which was of the children of Hobab the father in law of Moses, had severed himself from the Kenites, and pitched his tent unto the plain of Zaanaim, which is by Kedesh.

Israel and Canaan become engaged in battle. The Lord then steps in to win the conflict as He promised He would do, sending a massive rain storm. All the chariots and weaponry of the powerful army led by Sisera…become bogged down in the mud;

***Jdg 5:21    The river of Kishon swept them away, that ancient river, the river Kishon. O my soul, thou hast trodden down strength.

…and those troops are soundly trounced by Barak and his small army. Not only trounced, but each and every one of them is slain.

***Jdg 4:16    But Barak pursued after the chariots, and after the host, unto Harosheth of the Gentiles: and all the host of Sisera fell upon the edge of the sword; and there was not a man left.

***Jdg 5:20    They fought from heaven; the stars in their courses fought against Sisera.

All slain except for their leader, Sisera, who flees, running past the tent of Heber the Kenite.
A woman named Jael, the wife of Heber…stands at the door and invites this mud-covered Sisera inside.

***Jdg 4:17    Howbeit Sisera fled away on his feet to the tent of Jael the wife of Heber the Kenite: for there was peace between Jabin the king of Hazor and the house of Heber the Kenite.
4:18    And Jael went out to meet Sisera, and said unto him, Turn in, my lord, turn in to me; fear not. And when he had turned in unto her into the tent, she covered him with a mantle.

When Sisera asked for water, she brought him…milk. Picture that milk being warmed for him. Doesn’t warm milk induce sleep? She drew a cover over him. Made him feel safe and warm. Made him comfortable. He fell asleep. (She was a picture of hospitality, which was so important in that desert community. She gave him more than he asked for. She was also following the Lord’s lead.)

***Jdg 5:25    He asked water, and she gave him milk; she brought forth butter in a lordly dish.

At the moment he was sleeping soundly …she put her able hands on a tent peg, took a hammer, and applied each in the proper sequence to the proper body part; killing him; driving the peg through his skull. (Note that she used no special tools…no special weaponry. She used the objects with which she was familiar, for the women of that time were responsible for erecting the tents when the tribe moved from place to place. She was adept at placing tent pegs where they needed to go.)

***Jdg 5:26    She put her hand to the nail, and her right hand to the workmen’s hammer; and with the hammer she smote Sisera, she smote off his head, when she had pierced and stricken through his temples.

Then, when Barak came by, searching for Sisera, Jael called him into her tent, and showed him the slain body of Israel’s arch enemy. Dead on the ground.
At the hands of… a woman.

***Jdg 4:22    And, behold, as Barak pursued Sisera, Jael came out to meet him, and said unto him, Come, and I will shew thee the man whom thou seekest. And when he came into her tent, behold, Sisera lay dead, and the nail was in his temples.

Deborah’s prophecy was fulfilled.

As a result of this episode….Jael was called “blessed above women. Blessed shall she be above women of the tent.”

***Jdg 5:24    Blessed above women shall Jael the wife of Heber the Kenite be, blessed shall she be above women in the tent.

Think about it. There is only one other woman in all of scripture who is called blessed. That woman was Mary, the mother of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Deborah…who was first a mother, was also a prophetess and a Judge of all Israel; the woman in charge of her country. The one to whom all came in order to resolve problems. The leader of the Nation Israel.
Jael: probably a mother; unknown to the world at large, residing humbly in a tent.
A woman whose life was spent in the background, as compared to Deborah’s life. Carrying out her day to day duties in relative obscurity.
Yet, ultimately called blessed above women of the tent! By the Holy Ghost, through the pen of the author of the book of Judges.

Do you think that because you are at home, caring for your family, doing the daily, endless tasks that are required of one who is managing the home front…that you may not be called to do great things for our Lord and Savior?

In this age we are told that a woman must subjugate herself to a man. But the bible says that a woman…a wife…must submit herself to her husband. It does not say that women as a whole are inferior to men. In this very example, a woman is chosen to carry out God’s will.

Jael knew exactly what she needed to do, in order to carry out God’s plan for her. And for Israel. All for God’s glory, in the end. Those were far different times, for the battle then was physical, obvious and earthly.

In this dispensation, the battle is unseen, invisible, spiritual and heavenly. But do not think that you cannot be called to carry out a role not usually assigned to women; something not usually a “woman’s thing” per the world’s definition.

We are not privy to knowing HIS plan for us, or for the world, except for what the Holy Spirit reveals to us via the scriptures. Never fall for the messages that you can only “count” for something if you are out there in the world, away from your family…making a “name” in some sort of business venture. That is the voice of “you-know-who” calling to you. The one who is currently ruling the world! Satan himself.

Deborah was a prominent ruler in those days, per the Lord’s election. Think of her description of herself. That she was first, a mother. A “working” mom. Yet, in her case…called out to fulfill her position of leadership by God Himself.

***Jdg 5:7    The inhabitants of the villages ceased, they ceased in Israel, until that I Deborah arose, that I arose a mother in Israel.

Then..we have Jael. At home. Carrying out those daily sometimes grinding and thankless tasks.
A “stay-at-home” mom.

Her home was the place God sent the enemy so that she could vanquish him, Right IN her personal space…and then, when her brave task was completed, she was called “blessed above the women in the tents.” (Very brave as well, for she could only have one “shot” at carrying out the work she needed to do. If she had missed the mark, or if her heart and hand failed her, she would have been slain by her intended “victim.” If he lived, and did not kill her, her husband would have been required by the tribal laws to slay her…because there was a man other than her husband in her tent.)

What a huge lesson we read here…to “never discount the small things.” Never let go of the peace of God, which allows for a calm perspective in the midst of a crisis or an emergency. (Jael’s thoughts and actions were focused, precise: under control; powerful.)

Even if our entire life revolves around caring for our family and our home, this story reminds us to “be aware.” To know our surroundings…know what is happening around us. Know when things are amiss. Know..when action is required.

There may be a spiritual “Sisera” just around the corner, who will soon come into your tent. (Who is it that you listen to on radio, or watch on TV? You are inviting him into your “tent.”)
But God will empower you to properly rid yourself of him, for if he is harming you, he is also harming the body of Christ, of which you are a member.
The end result being the “riddance” of a “virtual” Sisera; to glorify God, and then, to strengthen the Body of Christ.

Never disregard the small things.

***Zec 4:10    For who hath despised the day of small things?

The small things. One’s home. One’s familiar tools. One moment in time.

Be strong in Christ. Stand firm. Be confident in His strength.

***Luk 16:10    He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.

Remember…..

***Rom 15:4    For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

***Eph 2:10    For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

~The following quotes were taken from an internet article…

***””The story of Deborah and Jael is important in the Bible because it teaches us that God delivers His people when they call on Him and that God is not opposed to using women to lead. So maybe we shouldn’t worry too much about what other people will say; instead, we should seek to know God and to obey His directions–even if they seem to be contrary to expectations and cultural norms.”

“While Mary was unquestionably blessed among women, as already stated, Scripture does not say she was blessed above women. Furthermore, she being blessed in this manner is not unique to her alone. Jael is described in a similar fashion.

Blessed above women shall Jael the wife of Heber the Kenite be, blessed shall she be above women in the tent. (Judg 5:24, KJV)”***

Positions Available

Entry level opportunity to join a Celestially based Organization is being offered to those who are seeking job security with a Well Known provider of eternal salvation.
Job description to be determined by the particular talents given the successful bidder when accepted into The Firm.
Pre-requisites are that an applicant must whole-heartedly accept and believe, by faith…that the Founder’s Son was sent here on a previous occasion…that He suffered, was crucified, died and was then resurrected…living still, while seated at the right hand of God The Father Almighty. (He is…The Boss.)
Once this preliminary goal is met; a third Agent of the Company will personally assess all aspects of your application, and upon His approval….will “indwell” you, so as to provide guidance, education and continued growth in this Family-Oriented Organization.
No matter what gifts or talents are given you at that time, they are to be used to glorify the Leader of this vast conglomerate….and then, to support the fellow successful applicants who have also been accepted into this Body which consists of those who also have stated their belief in the birth, death and resurrection of the Son of the Founder.
(The Three Top Leaders work very closely together: God the Father, Jesus Christ His Son, and the Holy Spirit. In fact, even though being three separate entities, they are often described as being One. That is just how closely they interact as they carry out the duties of The Family Organization; how mutually “in-step” They are as they move forward in achieving the goals that were drawn up before this world was even created.)
Their outreach Agent, the Apostle Paul, has set up the Human Resource requirements, as set forth in his Epistles. In those “books” lie the requirements and duties of each and every hiree who has met the initial requirements of this job offering. (Paul was the first to be accepted into this at-that- time new, mysterious Family of God…he then was inspired by the Holy Spirit to write the manual for all future applicants during this age of grace. The Manual…is to be studied…as if your very life…depends upon it.)
You cannot be fired from your position, which grants you eternal security and a coming life that cannot be described, for the glory of it all. Walking and talking every day with the triumvirate God… Actually, with all Three representatives of that God-Head Trinity…is an additional benefit offered to Their people. The Father. (Our Leader.) The Son (Our Salvation.) The Holy Spirit (our inspirer and the translator of ALL Company policies.)

All of this must be accepted on faith, as the benefit package is yet unseen. (This is often a barrier to those who must see…to believe. For this Company demands that you must believe….to see.)
Anyone who cannot or will not accept the basic requirement…will have their application rejected.
Unfortunately that rejection carries with it an eternal sanction….which places the rejectee into an eternal hot spot of gloom…doom….and total separation from The Father. The Son. The Holy Spirit….as well as from those of us who chose to believe, by faith… the promises offered by this Celestial Organization.
There will soon be a general meeting called…which is titled: “The Rapture” or the “calling up.
The Father will give The Son the ok…and He will step out into the clouds and call us up to Him. We will then be escorted into His presence by His angelic phalanxes…meeting Him face to face for the first time. The Holy Spirit will attend to us, picking us up off of our faces when we are overcome with His brilliance; our insignificance, and the truth of what we had learned from studying the Company Manual.
He…will then introduce us to His Father. Our God. Our Father, as well…since we have been formally adopted (once obtaining our position in the Family Business…) and can claim sibling-ship with The Son….Christ Jesus.
The pay rate, or the reward system..is based upon how we carry out our lives after joining the Company. Is what we are doing for God’s glory? To show Him in all we do? If so…there is a reward coming, in the form of a crown. Much like the Bema Seat award system of old…our actions, our works…will be assessed and graded with the application of fire….the “good stuff” surviving the flames…the “stuff” we did in order to glorify ourselves…burnt up like the chaff that it is. No reward.
There will be many who receive no bonuses. They will not lose their salvation, as per the original job description….but they will be quite sorrowful at all the lost opportunities for bringing glory to the Founder…the Father…through the ultimate sacrifice of The Son…who did all to satisfy The Father’s will…and sadder yet that they refused to accept the Company Policy written by the Apostle Paul…who spelled out, in minute detail…just how to achieve the highest, most valuable rewards.
Rapid advancement is obtainable through the guidance of the Holy Spirit…the Entity who alone lifts the veil of understanding to those who wish to become closer as well as more like the Home Office Directors. The eager, avid, passionate employee WILL be moved ahead.
(However, just as gains are being made in the invisible realm…the physical realm will begin showing a deficit. Family members, friends, cohorts will not understand your passion nor your belief in such an invisible Organization. As such…they will feel threatened by your presence, for your very body exudes The Spirit Who now takes up space in your inner being. They will turn their backs…you will be scorned. By those who you thought were your closest. Your children. Parents. Husbands. Wives. Much like was endured by The Son during His stay on earth…for, we are following in His footsteps. And so…will suffer His pain.

So says Paul…who suffered above and beyond all the Apostles….never letting go of his zeal for the teaching of gospel as it was given to him…by Christ Jesus Himself! Nor did his faith waver as he suffered in his position…as the Ambassador for the risen…Jesus Christ.)

As your knowledge increases…you will be set apart ..human companionship will diminish, as spiritual companionship…grows.
Corporate promises include that your basic needs will be met while you pursue Company Policies. In His time, at His determination of your needs. This demands total reliance on The Leader and on His promises as being true. Taking Him at….”His Word.”
Bottom line: a peace which knows no human understanding…..will overtake you when your application is approved. A certain joy..will invade your heart. A love…an agape love, which is not an emotional thing, but a love that emanates from within…will be evident for all people. Regardless of who they are. (This is the evidence of the Holy Spirit within you….Who has now sealed you forever into this Family Business.)
It is good to study all about the beginnings of your Family..through the reading of the Bible. It is written for your edification and learning. The Human Resource section is in the Epistles of the Apostle Paul….lest you forget.
This position has eternal security.
Application department is open 24/7.
Avail yourself of the opportunity, for the offer will be withdrawn at some future, as yet unknown date…which will be the time of the very first Corporate Meeting. The Rapture.
(Oh, and by the way…the successful applicant must be prepared for the unusual…the supernatural occurrences that will now be a part of daily life. Even dreams will be affected…dreams that must be searched out in the Manual in order to verify their origins. Unusual people will enter your life. Be sure to talk to The Father about these things…to Abba (Poppa, Daddy, as He says we can call Him)…for this relationship goes far beyond that of the usual employer/employee interaction ..His door is always open…His Son…being that door…who by His sacrifice (which you can read of in the Manual) made all of this possible for those of us who once were considered….inappropriate, less than human…unable to become part of The Family because of our innate heathenous qualities.
Does any other business/company/organization come close to offering what is being presented here? (Albeit with many omissions. Because only His Word..the bible…the Manual for His Organization…fully describes the options, the benefits….the total security one achieves after obtaining the “job” that you chose to apply for.)
There is even a “new you” created….a complete make-over of the highest quality.
The…MOST important career choice you will ever make.

Maranatha…
Louise

Books and More “Books”

image In the book of Joshua, after Israel has soundly defeated the Kings of the Amorites at the battle of Gibeon (when The Lord, per His promise… had delivered them into their hands…) the sun and the moon stood still for a whole day.

There was “no day like that before or after it, that the Lord hearkened unto the voice of a man: for The Lord fought for Israel.” (Joshua 10:14)

When we read of this battle, (Joshua leading the men of Israel in the name of The Lord)…we also read about the miracle concerning the sun and the moon standing still, so that the people had time to avenge themselves upon their enemies..that is also written about in the “Book of Jasher.”

This book, which is not included in the bible as we know it today..is also called “the Book of the Upright One” in the Greek Septuagint, and “The Book of the Just Ones” in the Latin Vulgate. It is mentioned for a reason. No word in the bible is superfluously written.

We are commanded to take the entire Word…”eat” it, digest it, and make it part of our very being through the metabolizing power of the Holy a spirit within us. “Sweet on the lips…sour on the stomach” Rev. 10:9-11

All of the “Book” is written for our edification and for our learning. Do you take the words of scripture literally?

Proverbs 25:2 “It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.”

Read…learn…grow in Him….rely on the Power within to discern what is right for you to read and what is wrong. Search out the matter!

Look at our Apostle Paul. His zeal did not diminish after he was thrown from his high horse on the road to Damascus. After he looked up and said: “what shall I do, Lord?” (Acts 22:10)

Php 3:7 But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. 8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, 9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: 10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; 11 If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.

He recognized The Lord. He went into the wilderness for three years to learn what he was to teach us; to learn how he was to set the example for us to follow as he followed Christ and we… to follow his instruction.

Did he lose his zeal? His passion? After all, he was the chief prosecutor of those who followed “The Way.” He was single minded in his belief, but after his “focus” was Divinely sharpened and pointed in the right direction…he used that same passion for the benefit of those outside of Israel…the heathen…the non-Jews….that would be…us.

Do you think he used every possible bit of information he could gather, with the Holy Spirit’s guidance…to reach out and convert those with whim he came in contact with?

1Ti 1:12 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry; 13 Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief. 14 And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. 15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. 16 Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting. 17 Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Now, not all of us are given such a task. Some of us are house-bound. But we can have that same zeal…that same passion for wisdom, and use it by way of writing, or calling on the telephone, or texting…or whatever communication device is available to us….in order to first glorify God, and then to support our fellow believers who are enduring hardship and tumult right now. It is our duty to our invisible brethren. Just a word…at the right time…gives a fellow in The Body a veritable cushion, a warm bowl of enervating soup, a virtual hug…a moment of respite in order to gain strength for the next onslaught that will come upon that person.

In order to glorify and support, we have been given the vast library provided on the Internet; to enhance our understanding, so that our words are written and spoken from a base of God-given truth: biblical truth first and foremost..but also with a deepened knowledge of the circumstances surrounding the biblical events.

An added richness…a keener “edge” to what the Holy Spirit is able to draw from within your internal library of biblical references. (Before He can use it…we must take it in. There’s that “digestion” thing again!)

We must be zealous and passionate about our learning. The Holy Spirit will let us know if we are venturing into domains forbidden to us. (He…has a way…of communicating with us. His “nudges” are quite powerful; to be obeyed immediately. This writer has accumulated many “nudge” marks.)

Every. Single. Word. In the bible. Is written for a reason. Has a purpose.

Dare to search it out. Pray on it. Ask for His guidance as you prove to Him that you want to gather wisdom…that you WISH to grow closer to Him….that you want to be less of yourself and more of Him while your understanding increases through the leading of our “House Instructor” the Holy Spirit.

All the while…giving Him the glory as He reveals the next layer of understanding to you…His zealous student.

Are you supposed to read the Book of Jasher? Why does the Holy Spirit refer to the book, through His scribes as they wrote through His inspiration…the words that give us testimony today? Why is it mentioned?

We are given choices each and every moment of our lives. Make the right choice, and your life will be enriched; your inner man strengthened, your eternal future guaranteed a special place in His plan for you…for us…who are His Beloved in Christ.

Choose to be ardent in your stand with Him. HE…was MOST ardent in His sacrifice, for you.

Yours in Christ….and Maranatha… Louise Hudson

2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.

THE 💫 Condiment 💫

Now that we believe in The Lord Jesus Christ…that He is the risen Son of God; the Holy Spirit enters us, filling that once empty “God Space” in our very core.

HE comes with a particular piece of tableware. A salt shaker. An empty salt shaker.

We now have another choice to make. Will we be ” believers” in name only? Or will we continue on with Him…maturing, growing closer to Him, beginning to think…like Him? (For we are told that we are now the “salt of the earth.” What is the source of this salt that we are to carry with us? Where do we fill up? Well, He provides us with our daily allotment, through reading and immersing ourselves in the Book. In His word. In…The Word, which is Christ Himself.)

That decision also comes with an understanding that we will then be huge targets for Satan’s arrows. The adversary likes those who “believe” in name only, for they are no threat to him. But the ones who decide to fill that salt shaker can upset his apple cart, and so…we must be prepared to be on the receiving end of many trials and tribulations. (Depression. Illness. Family turmoil. To name a few.)

Having decided to move with Him, now we must get some salt into the shaker. It must be ground down and refined…the flakes small enough to pass through the little holes in the cap of that container. Those trials…those fits of sorrow…those life altering events…are the millstones that are grinding our salt supply into the proper form. The form that enables us to carry out the commandment to be salty saints!

When we first take in or ingest the Word…it must be utilized by our system in such a way as to make it usable for export. For changing that originally rough clump of salt into a sprinkable form of savor.

Salt is a purifier. A sanitizer. A preserver. (Think of salt cured hams…Southern style.) It heals. (Sore throat? Salt dissolved in hot water and gargled will often do the trick.) It is medicinal. (Thyroid problems? Iodine is mixed with salt to prevent one form of thyroid disease.) A regulator. A diuretic. We cannot live without salt. It is essential. But too much…is toxic. It must be measured out accordingly. (Are you talking to a baby believer? A few grains of salt is enough for him or her. A hardened un-believer? Perhaps a pouring…which will cause a sting. Salt…stings.)

In the sacrifices of the Temple, salt was a requirement.

Lev 2:13 And every oblation of thy meat offering shalt thou season with salt; neither shalt thou suffer the salt of the covenant of thy God to be lacking from thy meat offering: with all thine offerings thou shalt offer salt.

(We are now a living sacrifice since we have given over our bodies to The Lord. And as such…we must be….salted!)

Salt was an exchange item. Soldiers were often paid in salt. Do you know anyone who is “worth their weight in salt?”

It formed a covenant. In Jesus’ day, sharing a meal indicated a “salt covenant” between host and guest. While the guest stayed in the host’s home…his safety was guaranteed.

Think of this. The shepherds in the fields, guarding their flocks of sheep…were told that they would find the baby Jesus “swaddled and lying in a manger.” Swaddled new-borns…even the sacrificial lambs that were used for the Temple offerings (how appropriate!) were first, right after birth…salted. Rubbed all over with salt, thus cleansing and purifying them. Then they were wrapped in strips of material, keeping them still and warm.

Jesus Christ….was salted!

We cannot live without salt. It is life.

When we speak to a person who is steeped in un-belief…our very presence is an offense to them, for they know who we are. Our words..are like salt on an open wound to them, for…they sting! And they are supposed to sting. That open wound pain reminds them of who they are, and what they lack. Yet…there we are..gently yet persistently sprinkling that salt shaker all over them. We are commanded to do so.

When Elisha was told about the foul water in Jericho, he immediately asked for a “new” cruse; one just made by the potter… to contain salt that he would empty into the headwaters and so purify that river. Not only was the water made sweet…but the curse upon it was also lifted.

2Ki 2:20 And he said, Bring me a new cruse, and put salt therein. And they brought it to him.
And he went forth unto the spring of the waters, and cast the salt in there, and said, Thus saith the LORD, I have healed these waters; there shall not be from thence any more death or barren land. So the waters were healed unto this day, according to the saying of Elisha which he spake.

We, who are now new creatures in Christ, are those new cruses. Made by the Master Potter. And as such…we have a “whole lot of shakin'” to do. (With the proper discernment, of course!)

So, when in the throes of your trials..remember that your salt shaker is being filled. The salt is being refined and made pourable. The grain size..dependent on your reaction to each “millstone” event in your life. (Remember the ad…”When it rains, it pours…Morton Salt!”)

Even when enveloped in tears…allow the salt to pour out.

It is in our job description now to do so. Our “Employer” has given the command. We represent Him by being a salty saint. It is also the evidence to those around us…that we belong to Jesus Christ.

Col 4:6 Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.

Have you left anyone 💫 thirsty 💫 lately?

Maranatha…

Mat 5:13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

(Notice that “if the salt has lost HIS savor”…it does not say “it’s savor…it says…”His savor.” More food for thought.)

Mar 9:49 For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt.
50. Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.
