From who do we receive our knowledge about how The Lord wishes to be reached in this Age of Grace? Do we care? Are we concerned?

In the Old Testament, there were extremely strict laws about how one was to worship in the Temple. Those laws were disclosed to the prophets; the leaders of the Jews, to Moses….with those who chose to disobey the rules immediately being put to death by God Himself.

Today, our bodies are the Temple of God. The old Temple has been destroyed, as it was prophesied.

And ..there is a way that He wants us to approach Him, just as He had guidelines for those in the past.

The rules are not set out in the same manner…but through a chosen minister set apart for us today.

An example given us so that we do not err as we follow His path… while our bodies are here on earth. The example is… of Paul’s life, while he followed Christ.

(The religion I followed, until “seeing the light”…taught me to “try” and walk as Jesus did.
I cannot walk as Jesus did…no matter how hard I work at it, for Jesus was an Orthodox Jewish Man-God while here on earth. He was sent to Israel. He followed the Law, as His Father told Him to do. Yet my religion overlooked this important fact, and I blindly tried to follow the instruction…which leads to deep sorrow, failure, guilt, constantly seeking forgiveness….all the things that Christ Jesus died on the cross for….as He gives this gift of grace to us Gentiles….only AFTER Israel spurned Him…rejected Him….crucified Him….not recognizing their Savior at His manifestation. We have salvation…the moment we believe. Belief plus nothing. We have been given everything we need. God lives within us! How many others have been in, are in… this same predicament each and every day? Not recognizing these basic truths?)

Matthew, Mark, Luke and John relate His story while He was on earth. While He was reaching out to His chosen people, Israel. While He was offering them the kingdom, if only they would know who He was.

They do not teach us about The Secret…The Mystery…that Gentiles would be brought into the Royal Family. They did not know about it. (This plan was kept secret by God through the ages….and finally revealed in ONE Apostle. Paul. Who describes himself as the biggest sinner who ever lived.)

We cannot follow their instruction. Gentiles…are not…Orthodox Jews.

And so we see Paul.

One man.
(Israel benefited from having not only Christ Jesus in person, but also the 12 Apostles.)

After Jesus’ death and resurrection…God anointed one man to go to the Gentiles. To ALL men, and preach the Good News of His Gospel. (Never forget that the original 12 were forbidden to go to anyone BUT Israel.)

The Apostle Paul.

In Acts 22:14-15, Paul is chosen by God to “know His will.” He was chosen to “see the Just One.” (Thus satisfying the decree that an Apostle MUST have actually seen Jesus Christ.

Paul…is chosen “to hear the voice of His mouth.” (Imagination fails, when contemplating the three years that Paul spent in the desert…unlearning all he knew of Jewish tradition and religion…learning the precepts of The One that he previously denied!

He learned the Gospel from the very Mouth of God.

And then…he was appointed “to be a witness unto ALL men of what you have seen and heard.”

His former religious zeal…was transformed into a passion for Christ Jesus, about whom he immediately stepped out and preached. (Through “the simplicity that is in Christ.”)

Paul was told then to “depart for I will send thee far hence into the Gentiles.”

How very plain. Yet, how complicated man makes this gospel.

(This writer never, never discussed religion. Perhaps minimally, the scriptures.
Yet, after a series of complex surgeries…I awoke in recovery and could only say to every person who entered my space..”did you know that the Apostle Paul is our apostle in this Age of Grace?”
Can you imagine the looks I received? The reactions noted? I could not stop saying these words. Some docs, some nurses agreed and said so. Several nurses took their breaks sitting with me, their bibles in their hands. They carried their bibles to work with them! Who would have known!

Others …ran for the hills. A person came in from the chapel services, and told me that “it is only your opinion” about Paul. This, in self righteous tones…advising me to enroll in a bible study course at the University so that I could learn the truth.
Good advice for one in very poor condition, lying in a hospital bed…trying to recover from major surgery…and who asked for a chaplain. I pray that she will have a change of heart…)

But from that day onward, this aging woman is directed to continue saying those words. Only the Holy Spirit could cause this action, for it comes very core.

We are not bound by those strict laws of the past. Our inner love for our neighbor…has supplanted external fences and boundaries, for we are bound by love. Charity. This love covers the Law. So says Jesus.

Read the Epistles… asking for your/our in-dwelling Holy Spirit’s wisdom and lead. (We are in this together.)

Prepare to “delete” many past understandings from your memory bank.

Let the Apostle Paul show you how to walk…how to follow, even as he “follows Christ Jesus.”

We are commanded to do so.

And will be judged at the Bema Seat…not for our sins, for they have been/are/will be forgiven…but for our acts on earth.

Were they carried out for God’s glory? Or…for our own prestige and rewards on earth?

Prepare yourself. There will be some who receive rewards, and others who watch their mis-directed deeds disappear, in the flames of judgement. When the truth of our actions is exposed for what it was.

We all fall short of His Glory. But there is still time to follow the example that God gives us, through Paul.

Use that time wisely.

Positions Available

Entry level opportunity to join a Celestially based Organization is being offered to those who are seeking job security with a Well Known provider of eternal salvation.
Job description to be determined by the particular talents given the successful bidder when accepted into The Firm.
Pre-requisites are that an applicant must whole-heartedly accept and believe, by faith…that the Founder’s Son was sent here on a previous occasion…that He suffered, was crucified, died and was then resurrected…living still, while seated at the right hand of God The Father Almighty. (He is…The Boss.)
Once this preliminary goal is met; a third Agent of the Company will personally assess all aspects of your application, and upon His approval….will “indwell” you, so as to provide guidance, education and continued growth in this Family-Oriented Organization.
No matter what gifts or talents are given you at that time, they are to be used to glorify the Leader of this vast conglomerate….and then, to support the fellow successful applicants who have also been accepted into this Body which consists of those who also have stated their belief in the birth, death and resurrection of the Son of the Founder.
(The Three Top Leaders work very closely together: God the Father, Jesus Christ His Son, and the Holy Spirit. In fact, even though being three separate entities, they are often described as being One. That is just how closely they interact as they carry out the duties of The Family Organization; how mutually “in-step” They are as they move forward in achieving the goals that were drawn up before this world was even created.)
Their outreach Agent, the Apostle Paul, has set up the Human Resource requirements, as set forth in his Epistles. In those “books” lie the requirements and duties of each and every hiree who has met the initial requirements of this job offering. (Paul was the first to be accepted into this at-that- time new, mysterious Family of God…he then was inspired by the Holy Spirit to write the manual for all future applicants during this age of grace. The Manual…is to be studied…as if your very life…depends upon it.)
You cannot be fired from your position, which grants you eternal security and a coming life that cannot be described, for the glory of it all. Walking and talking every day with the triumvirate God… Actually, with all Three representatives of that God-Head Trinity…is an additional benefit offered to Their people. The Father. (Our Leader.) The Son (Our Salvation.) The Holy Spirit (our inspirer and the translator of ALL Company policies.)

All of this must be accepted on faith, as the benefit package is yet unseen. (This is often a barrier to those who must see…to believe. For this Company demands that you must believe….to see.)
Anyone who cannot or will not accept the basic requirement…will have their application rejected.
Unfortunately that rejection carries with it an eternal sanction….which places the rejectee into an eternal hot spot of gloom…doom….and total separation from The Father. The Son. The Holy Spirit….as well as from those of us who chose to believe, by faith… the promises offered by this Celestial Organization.
There will soon be a general meeting called…which is titled: “The Rapture” or the “calling up.
The Father will give The Son the ok…and He will step out into the clouds and call us up to Him. We will then be escorted into His presence by His angelic phalanxes…meeting Him face to face for the first time. The Holy Spirit will attend to us, picking us up off of our faces when we are overcome with His brilliance; our insignificance, and the truth of what we had learned from studying the Company Manual.
He…will then introduce us to His Father. Our God. Our Father, as well…since we have been formally adopted (once obtaining our position in the Family Business…) and can claim sibling-ship with The Son….Christ Jesus.
The pay rate, or the reward based upon how we carry out our lives after joining the Company. Is what we are doing for God’s glory? To show Him in all we do? If so…there is a reward coming, in the form of a crown. Much like the Bema Seat award system of old…our actions, our works…will be assessed and graded with the application of fire….the “good stuff” surviving the flames…the “stuff” we did in order to glorify ourselves…burnt up like the chaff that it is. No reward.
There will be many who receive no bonuses. They will not lose their salvation, as per the original job description….but they will be quite sorrowful at all the lost opportunities for bringing glory to the Founder…the Father…through the ultimate sacrifice of The Son…who did all to satisfy The Father’s will…and sadder yet that they refused to accept the Company Policy written by the Apostle Paul…who spelled out, in minute detail…just how to achieve the highest, most valuable rewards.
Rapid advancement is obtainable through the guidance of the Holy Spirit…the Entity who alone lifts the veil of understanding to those who wish to become closer as well as more like the Home Office Directors. The eager, avid, passionate employee WILL be moved ahead.
(However, just as gains are being made in the invisible realm…the physical realm will begin showing a deficit. Family members, friends, cohorts will not understand your passion nor your belief in such an invisible Organization. As such…they will feel threatened by your presence, for your very body exudes The Spirit Who now takes up space in your inner being. They will turn their backs…you will be scorned. By those who you thought were your closest. Your children. Parents. Husbands. Wives. Much like was endured by The Son during His stay on earth…for, we are following in His footsteps. And so…will suffer His pain.

So says Paul…who suffered above and beyond all the Apostles….never letting go of his zeal for the teaching of gospel as it was given to him…by Christ Jesus Himself! Nor did his faith waver as he suffered in his position…as the Ambassador for the risen…Jesus Christ.)

As your knowledge increases…you will be set apart ..human companionship will diminish, as spiritual companionship…grows.
Corporate promises include that your basic needs will be met while you pursue Company Policies. In His time, at His determination of your needs. This demands total reliance on The Leader and on His promises as being true. Taking Him at….”His Word.”
Bottom line: a peace which knows no human understanding…..will overtake you when your application is approved. A certain joy..will invade your heart. A love…an agape love, which is not an emotional thing, but a love that emanates from within…will be evident for all people. Regardless of who they are. (This is the evidence of the Holy Spirit within you….Who has now sealed you forever into this Family Business.)
It is good to study all about the beginnings of your Family..through the reading of the Bible. It is written for your edification and learning. The Human Resource section is in the Epistles of the Apostle Paul….lest you forget.
This position has eternal security.
Application department is open 24/7.
Avail yourself of the opportunity, for the offer will be withdrawn at some future, as yet unknown date…which will be the time of the very first Corporate Meeting. The Rapture.
(Oh, and by the way…the successful applicant must be prepared for the unusual…the supernatural occurrences that will now be a part of daily life. Even dreams will be affected…dreams that must be searched out in the Manual in order to verify their origins. Unusual people will enter your life. Be sure to talk to The Father about these things…to Abba (Poppa, Daddy, as He says we can call Him)…for this relationship goes far beyond that of the usual employer/employee interaction ..His door is always open…His Son…being that door…who by His sacrifice (which you can read of in the Manual) made all of this possible for those of us who once were considered….inappropriate, less than human…unable to become part of The Family because of our innate heathenous qualities.
Does any other business/company/organization come close to offering what is being presented here? (Albeit with many omissions. Because only His Word..the bible…the Manual for His Organization…fully describes the options, the benefits….the total security one achieves after obtaining the “job” that you chose to apply for.)
There is even a “new you” created….a complete make-over of the highest quality.
The…MOST important career choice you will ever make.

All benefits are paid by the Master Plan; No premiums necessary for Health care; Life Insurance – automatically enrolled, no deductions made; Injury Compensation – covered 24/7 whether sleeping or awake.

– An army of Angels to guard you in all your ways
– No references needed, or Proof of ID.

The Storm

In Acts 27:22 and after, the Apostle Paul tells the crew aboard the Alexandrian ship that is taking him ( and the Centurion to whom he is assigned as a prisoner) to Rome for his hearing before Caesar. (Note that the ship came not from Antioch, but Alexandria.)

They have been in the midst of a horrendous storm that has lasted 14 days, during which time the men on board have barely eaten if at all, due to the heavy seas as well as the cross-winds that make a ship with sails virtually rudderless in such a tumult.

Paul stands up in their midst and tells the men to “be of good cheer” for an angel of the Lord appeared to him during the night; telling him that he WILL arrive safely in Rome, and that furthermore, there will be no loss of life among those who are with him.

However, there was a caveat. Every one had to remain on board that vessel with Paul.
No matter what. (V. 31; he says to the centurion and the soldiers “except these abide in the ship, he cannot be saved” as the men are trying to launch a life boat in order to abandon ship and save themselves.)

He encouraged them to “eat meat” for they had been without food for fourteen days at that point, and every body needs meat in order to function properly.

Both body…and soul.

He then takes bread, blesses it, and eats it in front of the men. As the men observed him, they too became “of good cheer” as they also ate and nourished themselves. (They had rejected his words when they were at the beginning of this voyage…when they were confident and sure of their original decision to sail along with that luring “Southerly wind” that soon proved to be deceiving. But when at death’s very door…they listened to Paul.)

The ship founders and breaks up…but all aboard safely arrive at land…some even floating to safety upon the broken boards of that doomed vessel.

Are we trying to save ourselves, instead of relying on the words of our Apostle Paul, who tells us in almost every single Epistle of his..that he was appointed to that position by no One less than Christ Jesus Himself. With the additional title of being our Apostle in this age. Per the precise assignment given Him at the moment he accepted and submitted to his newly recognized Lord and Master. The same Lord whom we serve.

Are we following Paul, even as he follows Jesus Christ? Have we submitted to the plain directions given to us by Paul? (Since we are not under the Law, but under grace…we must look to Paul to be our guide…our map that tells us how to approach God Himself in this age….our example of how God directs that we approach Him; not how we blithely decide, outside of scripture… on our own “way” which often mixes Grace with Law. Because that is the way we had been taught in the past, when still babes in Christ and still held in captivity by our sectarian structures?)

Our works can be envisioned as oil….grace, as water. No matter how hard we stir they do not mix.

These verses tell us that those who do not stay with Paul, even as the ship goes down…will be losers in the end.

If we are truly part of the body of Christ, then we have been sealed by the Holy Spirit at the moment of our belief.

Can we lose our salvation? Is our foundation secure? Is our faith founded upon the risen Christ….or is it a shaky mis-aligned base composed of a mishmash of blenderized tenets which combine Grace with Law? Or Grace with works?

Grace…and Law….do not mix. “Else grace is not grace.”

Search the scriptures and be a Berean. Study to be “Rightfully dividing the word of God” as it is commanded of us.
Make certain that your faith is based upon your recognizing that Jesus Christ is the son of God; born of a virgin; that He walked the earth, was crucified, buried and rose again in the power of His resurrection. (1 Corinthians 15:1-4)

Time is growing short. Our ship is certainly in trouble, but we are implored to stay with Paul in the midst of the storm. We must eat stay nourished by daily reading the scriptures…those inspired words set down by His faithful scribes of old.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God.”
The Word of God is Christ Jesus. The bible is His life line to us. He tells us to stand firm and trust in the truth that is revealed to us. The Word is IN the word.

Check your foundation lest it crumble and cause the infrastructure you are building…to fall and fail due to a mis-aligned understanding of the basis of our faith.
Our house should not resemble the leaning tower of Pisa.

You are an athlete. Perhaps a runner. Every day, you must practice in some way in order to maintain your body for the rigors particular to your sport. Stretching. Running. Mental focusing…in order to reach the goal of earning a gold medal or blue ribbon.
Your friend…is a scientist. Every day, he must perform certain tasks in order to maintain his keenness, his edge…in the laboratory. (More likely mental challenges as opposed to physical tasks.) Yet…he also has a goal. Perhaps it is to become a Nobel prize winner. Or to find the cure for a specific disease. Maybe it is to be the very best that he can be in his chosen field.
Both have goals in sight. Goals that will be reached by taking vastly different paths, by very committed people who share a commitment …to growing in their fields as they continually stretch themselves…reaching beyond their present level of function.
Now…consider the Body of Christ. If you are a believer in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ; have confessed this belief to God the Father, you are now a member of that August Body of which Jesus Christ is the Head.
(1Corinthians 15:1-4)
A body is made up of many working parts. At the moment of our belief…we are assigned a working part of His Body. One of us is a hand. One of us is a cell. One is a visible part of the Body. Another…an invisible yet equally vital part of the Body.
An arm….must be trained and prepared to take on the responsibilities of this position. The Holy Ghost steps in…the part of the Holy Triad that occupies us in His temple on earth, while we rest in the hope of His coming for us.
The Holy Spirit…who seals us and marks us as belonging to The Lord. He begins to teach that arm how to move. How to lift. How to carry out every task required of an arm…perfectly. This learning does not happen overnight. It is a process.
A kidney…has a less visible role in the Body. It filters. Perhaps discards poisons that would contaminate the Body. Not an overt role, but a hidden, vital part of His Body. Again, the Holy Spirit steps in and reveals what is necessary for a kidney to know. The revelations will of necessity be different from the knowledge that an arm would need in order to carry out its level of function.
Yet; they need to work together in the confines of that growing Body, so that it achieves the purpose intended by the Lord above. In order to fulfill His Plan. To carry out His goals.
And so…if you, as an arm…meet me, as a kidney…will we be able to consider this difference in our spiritual knowledge? That it will be…disparate?
But that even if we do not or cannot see the end result right now, we must work to get along with each other? To function together? To put aside the silly denominational differences of religion that have been taught to us throughout our lives…stepping back to realize the bigger picture that is before us…the picture set forth by the Lord, and not the picture set forth by a man…whose Adamic ideas of scripture have led us this far, if we are part of an earthly congregation?
Are we in fact worshipping our denominations instead of our God? Are we allowing these earthly divisions to separate us from one another in the name of “religion” ie: one says Appollo taught me, one says Paul taught me” loosely translated from ……

1Co 1:12    Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.

Is it that only after the rapture we can come together in truth, or can we grow enough in Him while living on earth (yet growing invisibly…spiritually…in the heavens…) to recognize and embrace our differences in Him…using the scripture as our base of adhesion instead of our “religion” as a separating force?
We are commanded to “come out of her, my people.”

Rev 18:4    And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

Col 2:8    Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

We do not have much time to reach the limits of our prescribed growth…to ingest the Holy Spirit’s revelations…to yield completely to Him….to honor Him by acknowledging the terrible price He paid for our salvation through grace…to allow the world to see His brand…His “mark” upon our very soul. Our “mark” is Him in us.

Eph 4:30    And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

Eph 1:13    In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

And by doing this, we can come together as a true congregation of believers…secure in Him….following in faith…becoming who we are in Him….achieving His goals for us…growing consistently as we grow closer and more intimate with Him every moment of every day.
He has not left us here on our own…blindly following our own interpretation of His will for us….He has given us an example to follow. He designated an Apostle specifically for us, in this age of grace, in these end times.
This Apostle is the man who was grown from a high horse as Jesus Christ Himself, AFTER He rose from the dead….told him..Paul…just what he would have to endure as he gave his life over to becoming a new creature in Christ.
We are commanded to follow Paul “even as he follows Christ!”

1Co 11:1    Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.
Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you.

The Epistles tell us how to put aside things that separate us from one another, even as we separate ourselves from the world while we grow in Him.
We are to be “in the world” and not “of the world” …seeking each other out so that we can support each other while first glorifying The Lord Jesus Christ.

Rom 12:2    And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

I am convinced that the Holy Spirit brings people into our lives in order to test us. Some…believers. Some…not. How do we treat them? With love…with charity…like the Good Samaritan who truly loved his neighbor as himself?
Sometimes…this is the hardest part of faith. Loving those neighbors, despite how they present to us. Yet, beneath that outer crust…may just be lurking a “gland” who has not yet learned how to communicate with an “arm” in this time and space, in His Body.
Not every Christian has learned that his or her outward appearance should reflect his or her inward belief.
Remember. It is a process. This coming together. This humbling of our nature as we, who are new creatures in Him, learn how to see each other through the truth of His Word…through Him, who is…The Word!
Think about it. We were saved for a purpose. Pray that our diligent attention to scripture and to the “gentle as a dove” Spirit leading..will take us to the level of function demanded by the God who saved us. To our being part of that perfect Body which will mesh forever with it’s Perfect Head.
Maranatha …
Louise Hudson

We are commanded to worship one God only; the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Where do we learn about this God of ours?

In the “chapters” of the Old Testament, where His relationship with His chosen people Israel is spelled out and delineated. Where we learn about the very beginnings of the world, and about His Son, Jesus Christ who is the One that holds all things together; for He is the “glue” of all created matter.

We learn that there are three Gods in the Godhead…the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.

We come to understand that there is terrible punishment meted out to those who do not follow His rules. For those who are in unbelief.

We watch as Israel falls into and out of favor…grievous sins committed, yet ultimate forgiveness, from a merciful God.

And then we look at the New Testament. Full of grace and forgiveness. Most people develop a picture of an almost effeminate God who is circled by angels with flapping wings. (By the way..nowhere in the bible are we told that angels have wings. The Cherubim have them, but angels appear as men. They are male. No wings. If one passed you in the street today, you would not look twice. An example of just how human they look, is depicted when Lot is rescued from Sodom.)

But learn this, one must read the chapters in the Old Testament that tell us this. Those chapters are for our learning.

Our bible is ONE book! With 66 chapters. If we do not understand what led up to the grace extended us in this age, how can we understand or know the God whom we worship? What is written in the OT is being repeated in the spiritual realm today. Those battles continue, but we cannot see them as they are being fought, for they are invisible to us. Those awful punishments meted out were from the very same God who loves us today.

When Jesus Christ gave up the Ghost, the temple curtain was split in half, vertically. It was “rent” in twain; this curtain that guarded the way to the sacred inner room; the Holy of Holies. The room that we, as believers in this age, have free access to without first having to slay an animal and have a priest sprinkle the blood of that animal on the Mercy seat for our purification. Only one priest was allowed into that sacred place, representing the Nation of Israel as He asked forgiveness for their sins.

But now, all of us who believe have free access individually…to the inner Holy place through the blood that is now on the Mercy Seat. The blood of our Savior, Jesus Christ. He is the one time sacrifice that puts to an end to the need for never-ending, temporary cleansing rites. The blood is now there permanently. Eternal cleanliness for us. We are washed and purified in that blood through our faith; belief that Jesus is the Son of God; that He died for All sinners (that would be us) and rose again three days after, now living and sitting at the right hand of God the Father Almighty.!.!

When we hear of our Lord today, from most preachers and teachers, we have half a picture of Him. Yes…He is love. Yes, He forgives us. But “woe” to the deceivers. “Woe” to the unbelievers. Read, in the chapters of the Old Testament what the word “woe” denotes.

We learn that our God is gentle, and loving. We learn that He is absolute in His authority, and when His patience wears thin, is capable of and will use the harshest of punishments against the guilty parties. Thus, He is All in All. The God of all the ages. The wrathful and the loving combined.

***When we have only a half picture of our Lord…are we worshipping an idol? A man-conceived version of the real thing?***

Why does Paul tell us to work out our salvation with fear and trembling? Why would we tremble in front of this gentle and caring God?

Because we need to recognize His Power. To bring together in our minds His true nature.

He spells it put for us. In His Book.

Israel was, and will be again His chosen earthly group. Read what happened to them, because of their unbelief. They are “Low-Ammi” right now. God has turned His Face from them, in order to look with grace upon us, who were once “far” from Him. When we were mere Gentiles. Dogs.

But. After the Rapture, after the “church, the body of Christ” is called up and taken from this earth…after we meet Christ in the clouds from where He will call us; His full attention will once more be upon the Nation Israel…those people, the Jews…who were, and will be once more “the Apple of His eye.”

There is yet to follow their payment of a seven year debt they owe God for their past disobedience; the coming Tribulation. It is written that it will be the most horrible of times, and we are promised that we will be spared because of our faith in His Son.

1 Thessalonians 1: 9-10

9For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God;

10And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.”

How do we learn of these things?

By reading the Old Testament with discernment and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, who teaches us all things.

When that curtain shielding the Holiest of Holies was “rent in twain”…so was the 400 year division between the Old and New Testament.

If the bible was esteemed as One Book with 66 chapters, it might be more difficult for the current wolves masquerading as sheep or even as “leaders” of the flock, to twist their words so as to gain a following for themselves.

It is up to each of us, with the Spirit’s lead to investigate each word we hear from the pulpit, or from a self proclaimed bible teacher, or a podcast, TV or radio show in order to determine if there is truth in their voices..or, are these people “empty clouds with no rain” who can provide no cleansing for their “followers” as we read in:

2 Peter 2: 1-3

1But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

2And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

3And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.”

No one chapter or section of the Bible lives on it’s own. All are tied together with a blood-red ribbon.

We must remember this, that the Father who adopted us when we were yet sinners..firstly named the Jewish people as His chosen ones.

We are adopted men and women who can claim acceptance into that family of God.

Adopted, which means chosen. Just as the Jews were first chosen for His earthly family, we have been chosen for His spiritual family and are spiritually connected to Abraham and Sarah.

How do we learn of this?

We start reading on the first page of the Book. And then the second. And then on and on.

How else can we learn about how grace was bestowed upon us when His chosen people refused the Christ, their Messiah….how God temporarily turned His back on them, and we were granted the opportunity to come into that Royal family.

How can we know that because of their temporary God-given blindness to the gospel message, we who were not His became His!

How can we realize that a debt is owed to the Nation Israel. If they HAD accepted their Messiah, well: the Kingdom would have come; the Tribulation would have occurred, and we would have been cast into eternal hell without a chance for salvation.

There is only one way. Think about it. Open that ONE book. It all points to One. Jesus Christ.

My prayer is that we who believe will open our eyes and minds even further by asking that the Holy Spirit takes us through the Book; revealing the knowledge necessary for our continued growth in Him!

One Book. Just as we who follow Him are of one mind. Invisibly joined together for all of eternity.

We are His alone. We are One, in Christ. By Grace.

We must respect that Giver of Grace by accepting Him for Who He truly is. A Father who has demonstrated through His Word that He punishes severely those who go against Him. A merciful Father who loves us. We must recognize and humbly respect His power.

The Bible tells us so.

“Thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree (Rom 11:17).”

“That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: but now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; in whom [Christ] ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit (Eph 2:12-13, Eph 2:19, Eph 2:22).”

“Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all. Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise (Gal 4:26, Gal 4:28).”

Do you pray for the “Peace of Jerusalem” as we are commanded to do, knowing that by mouthing these words we are asking The Lord to hasten His return for us? And that the “hastened return” will, in fact..bring the coming Tribulation upon Israel and those who are not “taken up”…that God’s attention will once again be focused on His people, and on the final 7 years of their judgement?
For…peace will come to that city beloved of God only after their judgement is complete…after the Great Tribulation is ended. The bible tells us so.
And so..part of that prayer is asking Him to Rapture us and get those final scenes into play.
Thinking upon this…there are some of us who are perhaps just on the edge of becoming “more” than just a believer; that the decisive step will be ultimately denied them because the age of the church…of the mystery…will have come to an end.
These thoughts spring from selfish thoughts on the part of this writer…who was basically a baby in Christ for all of 70 years…at which time The Lord firmly stepped in and presented the topic of **Discipleship** to her consciousness. He did this by way of many and varied medical crises resulting in infirmities that demanded immediate and crucial surgeries…which in turn demanded increasing dependency upon HIM as each recovery stage was completed.
Up to that time, she thought she was quite fine, thank you…following all the religious requirements and being very satisfied with herself. Having been a strong person and able to take care of business throughout her life, what more could there be? A bible reading here and there; prayers offered irregularly…truly a dormant figure. Saved, yes. But that was it.
As the Holy Spirit revealed what had been previously hidden from her eyes..that a more intimate relationship with Christ is HIS desire…that a growing love should be taking place, much like in a developing courtship relationship; a deepening, richer commitment which then would create a need to switch from “milk” to “meat” in order to support this “growth spurt” in this person who had been spiritually stunted up to this point in time…a new way of life was entered into where self had to be put aside and the ability to totally rely on HIM for all things became the right thing to do. Looking only at HIM…talking to HIM…(prayer now is a constant conversation with Abba….our “Daddy”….someone once wrote that each morning begins by his making that first phone call to God…then placing the phone on his shoulder in order to keep the conversation going as he goes about the business of each day.)
That growing, deepening relationship with HIM demands a leaving behind of family, friends and perhaps even location…for God does “separate” us into HIM so that HIS will is accomplished. We are called out of religion. There is a price to pay. Our salvation…is free. A gift.
Our discipleship…costs us. In many ways. But we must abide in HIM.

Joh 8:31    Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;

2Co 5:17    Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

We grapple with the fact that even those who were closest to us…when we were mere “babes” in the Body of have turned their backs. And this…without our even uttering one word. (In this writer’s experience…she was told that she now is different. And when she took that “opening” to try and explain what caused the difference that they perceived..the scorn and derision began. We must expect this, and ask the Holy Spirit for the strength to stand firm.)
So be it. The bible tells us that this will happen, so all we can do is pray pray pray pray for those misled, unbelieving friends and relatives who are now in our past.
(As an aside; after one of many surgeries and with a successful rehab at home under way..while all these new revelations were spinning around in my mind….a dream occurred. In it, I was attending a christening. Cannot remember who was there…but it was crowded. A happy affair. The baby was dressed all in white, with a white frilly cap on her head. Someone handed this little one to me…I looked down at her: that little baby in the white frilly cap had an old, wrinkled face! What a shock! The face in that bonnet was mine! Truly…not a pretty baby! Awakening, I was puzzled. Then I began to laugh, for that aged baby in the dream represented a beginning to me. What a vivid picture! It was time to start all over again and devour the scriptures with newly found passion and delight. Getting the “meat” required now. It was time for that 70 year old baby to acknowledge her “Christening” and begin to grow into the next stage of spiritual life!)
Now, had the Rapture taken place prior to the above described events…this writer would have been taken up with no “rewards” to offer her Lord. Saved, but “by the skin of her teeth!” As if by fire!

1Co 3:15    If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

And so…now, along with the prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem another prayer is also sent up. That those who are waiting for whatever reason to take that next step…from infant to mature adult in Christ…that they will get a move on! That they will sense the urgency surrounding this move. For… “Today is the day of Salvation.”

2Co 6:2    (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem.

Psa 122:6    Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.

Pray that those who need to begin to partake in the enriched spiritual life that is theirs in Christ….will “get the lead out” and move ahead…trusting in The Lord….prepared for all consequences….finding their strength in HIM…reaching the end of themselves..relying on HIM for ALL things!
And at the same time…looking for our Blessed Hope.
Submit yourself to the rule of that “Royal House Guest” who dwells within you. Willingly allow HIM to expand HIS living space in HIS temple on earth…which just happens to be you and your body.
Follow our LORD….as a disciple. It can only be done in HIS strength. Submit yourself!

Below are a few notes that might prove to be interesting as we travel along together…. each with slightly different gifts and experiences and placement in Christ’s own Body…of which HE is the Head!

******It might be good to stress several points just here. (1) Never was a believer brought into healthy spiritual maturity by means of pressure meetings and constant exhortation nor before he was prepared by the Spirit. (2) Healthy progress is based on the apprehension, understanding and appropriation of the truths in Christ that make for real growth. (3) The experiential aspect of all truth, and especially these so-called deeper truths, is closed to all but the needy heart. Until one is aware of his need to progress spiritually, he will never be brought beyond the birth truths—a mere babe in Christ. “Therefore let us go on and get past the elementary stage in the teachings and doctrine of Christ, the Messiah, advancing steadily toward the completeness and perfection that belongs to spiritual maturity. Let us not again be laying the foundation of repentance and abandonment of dead works [dead formalism], and of the faith [by which you turned] to God” (Heb. 6:1, Amplified).
(“Principles of Spiritual Growth” by Miles Stanford)*****

****”God asks us to present our bodies as living sacrifices to Him (Rom. 12:1). Until we have done this there is nothing else we can do. Notice this exhortation comes after Romans six. There is a reason for this order—crucifixion comes before consecration Uncrucified self refuses to be consecrated. This is why so many people with all sincerity walk down the aisles again and again, consecrating uncrucified self to God” (H. Duncan).****

“God so loved the world….God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son…that whoso believeth, believeth in Him….should not perish, should not perish but have everlasting life.

What a moment it must have been. It was still dark outside as the women approached the tomb,.wondering how they would manage to roll the heavy stone away from the entrance to the place where the tortured, dead body of the man who they had worshipped now was lying.
Their surprise…in finding the entrance open..the stone rolled away, and looking in…seeing the body gone! Can you imagine; after watching the horror of His death on the cross, the shock they were going through..the necessary wait until they could tend the body, (for they were observant Jews and could not go to Him on the Sabbath)…how surreal to then see that empty tomb! Then two angels seated at the head and the foot of where the body had lain…ask one of the women why she is weeping..then she turns, and Mary Magdalene sees a “gardener” who also asks her why she is weeping. (Why does she not recognize Him?) When He says her name, she knows that He is her Master…”Rabboni.” She clutches his feet, realizing that the dead body she came to wrap in spices….is alive and standing in front of her! He tells her to turn Him loose, for He has yet to rise and meet His Father.
Mary Magdalene is the first to know…the first to see Him…to touch Him….to hear Him…the first to realize that Jesus Christ had risen from the dead!
(How does a mere human take in and comprehend what is taking place? To go from a state of horror…to sorrow…to the most wondrous miracle that any mortal has ever seen: our Lord and Saviour is alive!)
Death was swallowed up in victory!
(And just as she ran to tell the others…who did not believe her….so must we tell others, ***when led by the Holy Ghost to do so*** about the time so long ago when Jesus Christ died on the cross and was raised from the dead, in order that we might have eternal life with Him. Just like it was played out then, so it is today…they did not believe her…most will not believe us.)
But today is a day to sing and shout. He lives, He lives.
Just as King David danced and sang with joy in front of Ark of the Covenant….so we should be dancing and singing as we acknowledge that our Lord has risen from the dead.
What better way to start the day?!? On this, the Day of Resurrection.

The strife is o’er, the battle won,,,
The victory of life is won…
The song of triumph has begun…
(Arranged from Palestrina, 1591)

Christ is risen, hallelujah….risen our Victorious Head…
Sing His praises, Hallelujah…
Christ is risen from the dead!
(Frederick C. Maker, 1876)

The prophecy is fulfilled. Thank you, Lord Jesus. The blood that you shed on that cross has given us unmerited favor…saving us from eternal damnation and deeming us who believe an eternity spent with you.
Great is thy faithfulness.

Love Letters

Imagine that your husband, or wife….a. beloved now living a long distance from you. He or she has no internet connection available to them. (Ok, this might be a “stretch” of the imagination, but…bear with me.)
Now, because they cannot tell you when they will return home to you, because of contractual agreements with their company, or perhaps are on an extended assignment with the armed forces….your only form of communication is by hand-written letter. A slow process. Painfully slow, especially in these times of immediate “face time” and Skype and messaging services.
But…take it a step further.
There is a knock at the door. Suddenly, you are face to face with the one from whom you’ve been separated for so long….you run to each other, embracing, overwhelmed by the fact that you are together again.
Conversation follows, as the exultation subsides….you begin to speak about your lives while apart.
He or she asks you about the many letters written and sent to you. Were you able to understand them? Were you able to grasp the emotion, the longing to be with you…the anticipation of that coming together once again…?
And you say…”oh, I have been SO busy! There they are, in that basket on the shelf…I didn’t even get a chance to open them. You know…the kids’ sports, the housework, the job, shopping….I was just SO tired each evening that I fell asleep without reading them!”
Can you imagine the look on that face now in front of you? The disappointment? The diminished look of joy? The eyes unable to hide the overwhelming sense of betrayal that you have just shown?
And this…done to one you say you LOVE…one who you say…is alway on your mind….one who you say…you will never forsake.
After contemplating this scene; let us fast-forward to the next big event in the life of a true believer in Jesus Christ as the Son of God. As the Resurrected One.
The call has gone out. The Rapture at hand. The command to “Come up here” is heard and obeyed, as that phalanx of angels is dispatched to accompany us to our new home in the heavenly place.
You finally get to look upon His face.
And He asks you (although He already knows the answer…)
“Have you read the letters I sent to you? My love letters, the words set down by my scribes…especially for you, sent to your address…letters that told you of my eternal love for you? Those letters that I even had bound together so none would be lost….in a book…called the Bible?”
What will you answer?
Will it be…”oh, I was just SO busy. I had them on the shelf, and really meant to read them, but time just got away from me. You know how it is….”
Imagine the sorrow in His eyes….that you chose to read…say, the daily newspaper….a well written book….your email…..Facebook… the news/shows on TV….but did not read the words so carefully worded and carried through the past centuries so that you would know of His love and His plan for you.
How will He feel? How will you feel?
Those busy days are forever behind you, as is the chance to sit down and open those letters; gone forever the opportunity to show Him that you cared enough to spend your time with Him, reading His Words…divine messages from the God that you said you adored.
Words are cheap when spoken by one who is providing “lip service” for the world to see…but in truth…is not motivated to reach out and even open the envelope containing those letters. To open the Book.
It is not too late. But time, as we know it…is moving quickly. Don’t place yourself in the terrible position of disappointing our Master Correspondent above. Your actions…my actions…speak louder than our earthly words can ever speak.
Grab that book of letters….from Him to you…while you still can. Open them. Revel in them. They are not just “words” after all…they are LIVING words…words of action. Meant to glorify Him, and to enhance those of us who are a part of his living body.
When He asks you about them….at His Mercy Seat….how wonderful to be able to say…”yes, my Lord…I read them. And in reading them, learned about You. They told me how to live my life for You; my life became Your Life, as you taught me how to come closer to you…” (Of course, that depends on whether you can even speak at all….given the “Company” in which you find yourself!)
Imagine the look in His eyes …will you hear Him say: “well done, faithful servant!?!”
There is a song that is popular now…..”I can only imagine”…which speaks of how we will react when face to face with our Creator.
Will we dance for Him? In exultation? Will we be on our faces…unable to even look at Him? Will we break out in song…as we adore him….as we confess that His letters…sustained us while we walked upon the earth…giving us the hope of His coming…that His scriptures were our only source of solace; of understanding; of comfort while waiting for Him to come for us? While waiting for our Blessed Hope?
This is my prayer for all of us who are in His Body.
That we use our time diligently. Allowing His love for us to permeate us, through the power of the Holy Spirit within …through the absorption of His Word…that Word; sent to us, preserved for us and written to us by His scribes, in anticipation of our opening them with joyful anticipation, barely able to await the next opportunity for reading, the next revelation…the whole time becoming more like Him..per His instruction…which He specifically sent to us by way of the Apostle Paul. In…the letters. The…Epistles.
Love letters. Coded love letters! Encrypted love letters! Understood…only by those who belong to Him…through the translation services of the Spirit’s power in us.

Maranatha …
